Skerne Medical Group Poster Campaign
Skerne Medical Group is a team of four medical practices which serve the people of Sedgefield, Fishburn, Trimdon Village and Trimdon Station in County Durham. Edmundson Design has worked with the group since a rebrand was commissioned in 2015.
After a recent visit to the surgery myself, I was shocked to discover the number of patients who did not attend their appointments – in 2017 this figure totalled a staggering 3,883. To my mind this is a figure of huge concern – especially given that it’s not a densely-populated area – and an issue which is putting immense strain on both the staff and patients within each of the practices.
Edmundson Design created a poster campaign for Skerne Medical Group which uses infographics to highlight these figures and to illustrate the impact which each failed appointment has.
The poster campaign will be displayed throughout the four practices but also in local shops, businesses and online, in order to raise awareness and educate patients that they need to cancel an appointment if it is no longer required. Hopefully in this way we’ll see a reduction in the number of patient DNAs in 2018 – and a marked improvement for both service-providers and the wider community alike.
